Olaru needed two hours and 46 minutes to deal with Bammer. Austran
player admitted, after the game, that Olaru presented herself quite

This statement shows what Olaru did, especially that games statistics
confirms everything what Austrian said. Eight doubled faults,

Rybarikova didn't wonder us in her game with Parmantier, but on the

Fabrice "Magic" Santoro won this tournement in last
2 years droping only one set in 2007 year to
Dancevic. He feels very comfortable here and his
"slice and dice" game is working extremely well
here. He will retire from professional tennis after
this year but there are some rumours about his next
year apperance only in Newport. If he will win
againthis year then tournament organisers will give
him a wild car next year and he will play only one
tournament but his favourite.
Querrey won 3 matches here but mainly thanks to poor return
performances of his opponents. No one was able to
break his powerfull service but Amritraj was
fighting very hard. Unlucky for him his first
service percentage was poor and Querrey break him 3
times. Santoro has very good return and he can win
some points of Querrey's first delivery and create a
few breakpoints. His slices stay very low on this
courts and this will be big problem for 1.98m
american. Querrey struggles in the past with decent
slicers like Rochus and Feliciano Lopez. He lost
also with decent slicer Falla on grass. Querrey is
only 9-10 on grass and his record versus TOP-50
players is only 1-7 on grass. We think that Santoro

Amritraj has big points to defend from reaching the
final in 2008. He likes conditions here and this
tournament. His father was 3 times winner in
Newport. He is "old school" tennis player with
service & volley tactics. He rushes the net very
often and play good volleys. Querrey is big man with
powerfull serve but he strugles in low bouncing
courts. He is only 7-10 on grass and this is very
poor for player with powerfull service. Yesterday he
served only at 46% so with similar stats he will be
punished today. At last we think that Amritraj can
play very competive match with Sam and our choice
is:
